The message is almost entirely capital letters.
What it looks at#
The ratio of upper-case to cased (upper + lower) letters across the whole message. Two conditions, both required:
- At least 10 cased letters. A short all-caps reply (“YES!!”) or acronym (“NASA”, “ASAP”) never has enough letters for a ratio to mean anything.
- At least 70% of those letters are upper-case. Conservative on purpose — ordinary prose with a capitalised sentence or two, or the occasional acronym, runs well under this; genuine shouting is the overwhelming majority of the message, not a plurality.
Why it matters#
All-caps text is a common low-effort spam and low-quality-comment signal — not malicious on its own, but worth surfacing.
What to do#
Low severity — plenty of genuine, if excitable, messages are mostly capitals. Not a reason to block on its own.
