FINDINGdomain.
Jump to what to dodomain.not_found
The domain has no DNS presence at all — it doesn't exist.
What it looks at#
Concurrent DNS-over-HTTPS queries for the domain’s NS and A records. If the resolver
returns NXDOMAIN, the domain has no presence in DNS whatsoever — this is distinct from a
domain that resolves but isn’t registered at its registry (see
domain.not_registered, which is a different signal
from a different check).
Why it matters#
A domain with no DNS presence isn’t a working destination for anything — a link to it, an email address at it, a “company website” field naming it are all pointing nowhere. Usually a typo or a fabricated name.
What to do#
High severity blocks by default.
