Jump to what to doemail.domain_not_found
The address's domain doesn't exist in DNS at all.
What it looks at#
The same DNS-over-HTTPS MX query as the other email.mx findings. If the resolver
returns NXDOMAIN for the domain — meaning the domain itself has no DNS presence, not just
no mail records — this fires instead.
Why it matters#
A domain that doesn’t resolve can’t be a real destination for anything, let alone mail.
This is usually a typo (compnay.com), a domain that was never registered, or one that
expired and dropped out of DNS.
What to do#
High severity blocks by default. There’s no legitimate case for accepting an address at a domain that doesn’t exist.
